And again some more Tech Death from UTP, those guy's really keep us updated in this genre. Outcast's Self Injected Reality is the follow-up of their debut from 2005. They also have released a demo under the name of 'Overlander'.'Gojira, which came also from France, recently dropped a pretty unique record, Outcast's sound might has some influences from Gojira, but still is really original. Maybe imagine 'Cynic' would've played more Death on their Re-Union rcord, but for Outcast's sound, that are only influences, it's still working in it's own way.
Gve their MySpace a try for two new tracks from their currenct album, if you dig the Genre.

"Cradle of Filth is an extreme metal band from Suffolk, England. Formed in
1991, they have been embraced and disowned with equal fervour by various
metal communities, and their particular subgenre has provoked a great deal of

The band's sound evolved from black metal to a cleaner and more "produced"
amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal
styles, while their lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by
gothic literature, poetry, mythology and horror films. The band have
successfully broken free of their original niche by courting mainstream
publicity (often to the chagrin of its early fanbase), and this increased
accessibility has brought coverage by the likes of Kerrang! and MTV, frequent
main stage appearances at major festivals such as Ozzfest, Download and even
the mainstream Sziget Festival, and in turn a more "commercial" image. They
have sometimes been perceived as Satanic by casual observers, although their
outright lyrical references to Satanism are few and far between, and use of
satanic imagery has arguably always had more to do with the shock value than
any seriously-held beliefs. According to Metal Hammer magazine, they are the
most successful British metal band since Iron Maiden."

Two Tragedy Poets (...And a Caravan of Weird figures) is the title of the new Elvenking record. It's complete acoustic, only vocals on this one are the voice overs beginning
at track 4, so it's maybe better to wait for the retail release.

The Japanese version of the album has a bonus track:

It´s called Sanojesi Aeaerelle. Sorry, saved this post as draft instead of posting it, so it's some days older by now. Cover looks awesome in my opinion.

Evocation return with their newest effort Dead Calm Chaos. The swedish band plays this "rough" kind of melodic death metal you guys might remember from the early or mid 90s. As one of the originators of that genre I´m very glad to hear that they still stick to their original sound and NOT go with the "metalcore"-flow.
So if you like the early works of the Swedish (melodic) death metal scene, you surely need to check out this record!!

'Dark Thrones and Black Flags' is the thirteenth album by the Norwegian black metal band, Darkthrone. Released in 2008, the album follows the punk-oriented style introduced on The Cult Is Alive. Don't know if I'm going to listen to this, you know it's Darkthrone, you either hate them or love them.

"The way this album is performed and composed is slightly different from the other Darkthrone releases as Nocturno Culto and Fenriz have shared all the duty from composition to recording with Fenriz composing guitar parts and Nocturno Culto singing on some songs, etc... "
