Mastodon-Crack_The_Skye-2009-VAG
Mastodon are back with their 5th new full-length.
Reviewers on both pages, MA and Rym, seem to like it very much, and so do I. It's not as confusing and wild as the last record was, but that doesn't matter in my opinion. The songs however improved since 'Blood Mountain'. I think it's well-worth a try for all Mastodon fans as well as for people who didn't like Mastodon's previous work.
There's one other thing that I have to write about. I'm back after month's of blogger-abstinence and hell yeah I missed to post here.. my time was so limited this year. Thanks to you all for being patient with the blog and for coming back here even without much updates. Also thanks to Andrej for many great posts and for keeping the blog so well updated. I'm goint to do some more work here the next days, so more posts and updates on the blog to come. The Nfo's for the appropriate next releases will be on again, too. :)

Terminal_Function--Measuring_the_Abstract-Promo-2008-UBE
First Terminal Function record after some Demos, it's left from the last big -UBE pre, where they also did Nocte Obducta and As Eden Burns, I thought maybe some of you might like this, so I decided to post it. Some more older rels might follow in the next day's, so look for the Release Date in our notes to not get confused.

Outcast-Self-Injected_Reality-2008-UTP
And again some more Tech Death from UTP, those guy's really keep us updated in this genre. Outcast's Self Injected Reality is the follow-up of their debut from 2005. They also have released a demo under the name of 'Overlander'.'Gojira, which came also from France, recently dropped a pretty unique record, Outcast's sound might has some influences from Gojira, but still is really original. Maybe imagine 'Cynic' would've played more Death on their Re-Union rcord, but for Outcast's sound, that are only influences, it's still working in it's own way.
Gve their MySpace a try for two new tracks from their currenct album, if you dig the Genre.

Exmortus-In_Hatreds_Flame-2008-UTP
Okay, here's something I picked up just recently, it's some months(!) older by now, but as 'Exmortus' are quite unknown and play some really good Death/thrash, I thought I post this belatedly. Review at Sputnik link. All 5 tracks on their myspace are from their new record, so give it a try if you like the genre!

Cynic-Traced_In_Air-Promo-2008-QTXMp3
It has been a long wait for Cynic fans. 15 years after their first and only full-length record 'Focus', Cynic are back with their brand new studio-output! I don't think that they have completely lost their Jazz-influences, but still I except this to be a litte more progressive and less Tech Death than their last effort. As I mentioned in the 'Dagoba' post, QTX did indeed get their hands first on a copy, seems like Seasons of Mist still is their speciality. :D
Fans of Cynic might already know 2 tracks, 'Adams Murmur' and 'Integral Birth', because there was an early Promo with those 2 tracks on it released this year, but still those tracks have been edited and re-recorded for this release.
If you aren't sure what to expect, visit their MySpace to listen to 3 new songs. Be sure to get your hands on a copy of 'Focus' if you like 'Traced in Air'. :)

Beneath_The_Massacre-Dystopia-(Advance)-2008-FNT

The Canadian Death Metal band Beneath The Massacre has some very brutal and technical songs to offer on their new album called Dystopia. The band is closely linked to bands like Ion Dissonance or Despised Icon. In my opinion the even sound a little bit like their label-mates Neuraxis (but less melodical).
So fans of that genre go check out the advance and buy this album on october 28th, 2008.
